My journey has been a profound exploration of authenticity.
From a young age, I grappled with concealing my true self, driven by the fear of judgment and rejection. I struggled with self-confidence and often sought refuge in art class during school, where I felt most comfortable. This drove me to make an unconventional decision at the age of 16 – leaving high school to pursue my dream of becoming a Creative Director. I aspired to spend my life creating beauty and helping individuals and brands authentically represent themselves.
Throughout my teenage years, I delved deep into honing my skills in design, writing, and photography. By my mid-twenties, I had become a Creative Director for brands like FabFitFun and Verishop, honing in on my abilities to lead creative teams and create lasting brand identities. But, underneath the achievements, there was still a void. At work, I often compromised my beliefs and instincts, and this eventually took a toll on my well-being, leading to my successful yet eye-opening journey with cancer at age 31.
Adversity has a unique way of transforming us. Through these challenges, I discovered a profound inner strength and the significance of my own self-worth. My professional journey evolved into a quest for a deeper understanding of mental and emotional health, both within and outside the workplace. I'm committed to inspiring others to embrace their authenticity and, in doing so, thrive creatively.
My story is a testament to the power of integrity and resilience emerging from life's most trying moments. It's a reminder that our darkest experiences can lead us to the brightest versions of ourselves.
For more than 15 years, my unique mix of creative strategy, technical skills, and business acumen has helped to further the impact of dozens of lifestyle brands. My experience ranges from managing multi-million dollar creative budgets and teams to establishing the brand identity for multiple startup brands.
